SALT LAKE CITY – Nicholas Kristof, the Pulitzer prize winning author of "Half the Sky" and the newly released "A Path Appears" will speak at the Huntsman Events Center on April 9th at 7pm. Mr. Kristof, who is also a columnist for the New York Times, is the opening speaker for the 2015 Global ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵ Conference focusing on Extreme Affordability. The conference is hosted by the Department of Global Surgery in the ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵ Of Utah School Of Medicine.
April 10-11, the conference will kick into high gear with sessions focused on extreme affordability at the Rice-Eccles Stadium Tower. Experts from the ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵ of Utah, the G4 Alliance, Johns Hopkins Medicine International and the Centers for Disease Control will address improving global health technology, systems and education. Sessions will focus on topics ranging from innovations for surgical and anesthesia care to designs for afford and effectively engagement the community.
